Fruitful Living Book Series

This five-book series comes directly from weekly emails sent to encourage and build a church family. No one was more surprised than the writers, that this log of emails, released over the course of two years, would become five devotionals to provide words of wisdom and exhortation for believers traversing through the four seasons of life.

Fruitful Living in Autumn - Chris and Carol Green

Leaves were falling, the weather was getting colder, and the hours of sunlight were becoming shorter. There is a lot of beauty in the autumn, but there’s a lot of loss behind that beauty. There’s a lot of change behind that beauty. It was the same way for us spiritually.

These weekly messages were sent to our church family as we faced this personal and corporate autumn season.

We pray that you will receive encouragement for the journey you are on.

Fruitful Living in Winter - Chris and Carol Green

In the winter, there are many things that you plan to do but you just can’t. This is the season where our desires meet the issues of timing. All you can do is settle down, pack it in, and rest. You just have to wait. If someone were to ask us how to spell winter, we would say W.A.I.T.

Winter is cold, harsh, and indifferent. We’re all going to have winters. This season has nothing to do with your faith or your commitment. You cannot prevent it or get around it. It’s just a reality of life.

Winter is a time of purification. Motives are tested and tried. We were forced to encourage the family and encourage ourselves. We had to learn to receive and get past pride. We had to learn the humility of not having it all together all the time.

Fr
uitful Living in Spring - Chris and Carol Green

Spring means melting snow and the slow process of cold and ice gradually giving way to longer days and gentler breezes. New life is on the way, but you have no idea what the new season is going to bring.

We entered the spring season with many lingering fears and doubts from the past. With the painful memories from our first attempts to start a church still fresh in our thoughts, God was nudging us to pursue His heart in a whole new way. Our pursuit of God’s heart helped us to release the past and embrace the new thing that He was doing.

As you navigate through your own “spring” time, it is our prayer that something written within the pages of this book will encourage you along the way.

Fruitful Living in Summer - Chris and Carol Green

This book was written in the summer. This was the season when we were watching the plan of God unfold, but at the same time, the trials and temptations were like heat and humidity.

Your strength and energy get sapped very quickly even though you are excited about what God is doing in your life. It seems like the closer you get to the fulfillment of God's Word, the greater the pressure increases.

As you navigate through your own summer season, it is our prayer that something written within the pages of this book will encourage you along the way.

Overcomers, Under Orders (Breaking Through Walls of Doubt and Fear)

 - Chris and Carol Green

Over Comers, Under Orders

Book #5 of the Fruitful Living Series is a continuation of the journey and journal of Pastors Chris and Carol Green. This book covers year-two of their Midweek Connection weekly emails that were sent to their church, family and friends.

More prophetic words of encouragement, wisdom and knowledge were brought forth to hammer through the walls of doubt and fear

that once hindered them and their church family from fulfilling their purpose and destiny in the urban community.

Fruitful Living Teaching

Chris and Carol Green

It all began when we received the following email:

I think you should take excerpts from all of these Midweek Connections and publish them in a daily devotional - maybe call it "Fruitful Living" or something of that nature.  There is such rich encouragement and a unique demonstration of the word in them that they should be shared in print as well as on this website.

This will reach that other generation that either, doesn't have a computer, don't trust the internet, or who would rather flip the pages than scroll down.  What I'm saying is that these Midweek Connections really bless me and I know they would bless others too.  And because I love books, I'd like to see you publish another one.

So we moved on that suggestion and began compiling the weekly emails that we had been sending to our church family. Email had been our best way of staying connected with everyone since we did not have a midweek church service.

We had no idea our weekly email was evolving into a journal, a log, a devotional, and a set of powerful sermons, messages, and prophetic words that would help Believers to understand that they are living and moving through four repeating cycles and seasons of life.
